Himalayan Dragon'S Nest Hotel

The food could use some improvement, with less oil and potato and more vegetables. Still, the hotel is right beside the river, and you can see it from the rooms and riverside balconies. There's plenty of space, the rooms are roomy and furnished adequately, and the grounds are clean. We also received good hospitality.

The room was clean, and the service was straightforward and friendly. Nice views, a peaceful setting, and good, hygienic food made for a pleasant stay.

We had a nice stay for one night. The rooms are quite large, the staff were well behaved, and waking up to lots of birds in the nearby garden was lovely. The balcony looks over the Punakha river, and the property sits right along its bank. It's a superb spot for a couple of secluded days in nature, though quite far from town. The only thing I'd change is the room lighting, which felt a bit dim and gloomy.

The location, views, and rooms were great, but the food was pathetic. For the complimentary breakfast, they served porridge, for goodness' sake.
