Hotel Riverview

The spa deserves a mention, the massages were outstanding. The food was delicious too, and the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the city, and everything was clean and well kept. What I’ll remember most is how kind the staff were. The reception team was welcoming from the moment we arrived, helped with everything, and gave us a warm goodbye when we left. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel River View in Thimphu. I’d happily recommend it and would love to come back.

I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I love spending time in the restaurant with its cozy fire place. I come at least 3 times a month to get away from the bustling energy of Thimphu town. The staff are warm and welcoming, and I get so comfortable on the couch that I feel like a cat and don’t want to leave.

The balcony was a lovely place to take in the view and serenity, and we enjoyed relaxing in the sauna and steam rooms. The spa was great too. Poonam was caring and really helpful, Dhan always made sure we enjoyed our meals, and the housekeeping team was wonderful and efficient. Everyone at Riverview Thimphu made the stay feel warm, like a home away from home. Thank you for making it so heartwarming and enjoyable.

The river’s gentle flow and serene sound are mesmerizing, and the spacious rooms have all the amenities. The location and comfort make this a good choice for any traveller. The staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. Ms. Poonam went the extra mile to make our stay more comfortable. A great hotel with great food.
