Terma Linca Resort and Spa

Terma Linca felt warm and happy, with breathtaking views and impeccable cleanliness. The staff were attentive and welcoming at every step. There was a royal feel throughout the property, and the spa was unforgettable, relaxing both body and mind. The restaurant had a wide choice of delicious dishes, presented elegantly. A truly luxurious stay, highly recommended!♥️♥️♥️

The spa was hygienic and very good, and the treatments are worth trying even though they're expensive. The property is well maintained overall, with spacious, well-appointed rooms and a dining room that feels like Europe. The food was very good, including authentic Indian-style dishes. The rooms aren't air-conditioned, but room heaters are provided. Try to arrive in daylight to appreciate the setting and the fast-flowing river visible from all rooms. Once there, you can't go out without transport because the hill is steep. Rooms are far from reception, so the walk can feel chilly on cold nights. We had a serious rodent problem: rats made a racket in one room late at night when no staff were available to help. We changed rooms the next day, then found a live rat in the suite the following evening, which staff caught. The hotel needs full fumigation and rodent treatment. It's a place we'll remember for a long time.

The slippery bathtubs are why I can't give this more than three stars. All four rooms we had for our family of 11 had this problem. We're two seniors aged over 70, three children, and six other adults. On checkout day, one family member slipped. The resort should know how to prevent this and shouldn't ignore it. The rest was commendable: hospitality and management, 5 stars; vegetarian Indian food with millet rotis, 5; serving staff and the whole team, 5; rooms, 5; infrastructure and cleanliness, 5; riverside and scenic nature access, including the weeping willow trees, 5. Medical availability for muscle or joint pain and the shower or bathroom facilities get zero stars.

The peaceful, beautiful ambience and delicious food, with its quality and presentation, made our visit to Terma Linca lovely. Aarti gurung was courteous, attentive, and professional, and Jigme chef tshering also helped make the hospitality outstanding. We felt very welcome. Highly recommended for a visit to Thimphu.
