That moment watching the MANONG (Vultures) feast was unreal. The game drives are great, and the birdlife is a treat if you love birds. I also had a lot of fun at the tequila bar out in the bush. Manong Game lodge really brings that “Delta“ feeling, so I don't feel I need to travel north anymore. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff are super friendly, and the management team is outstanding. I honestly couldn't find a fault.

The Segway Tour was absolutely worth doing, and we also took home some plants at a very affordable price. We saw a giraffe on the drive in from the front gate, then six more beside the A1 road fence as we left. We had the whole place to ourselves on our girls' getaway, since we were the only guests, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The food tasted nice, but it arrived cold, which was really disappointing after we ordered around 16:30 for dinner at 19:30. The wine and cocktail choices were very limited, and service for the bottle of red we ordered was so slow that we cancelled it.

The food is the thing I'd happily come back for. It's good quality, fresh from their farm to the restaurant, and the steak was amazing. Try the Boma dinner too. The lodge is beautiful and just outside Gaborone, not a long drive away. Staff were extremely helpful, and I enjoyed the game drive with a knowledgeable guide who had a great personality. It would suit a family holiday, a baecation, or team building, with conference rooms and obstacle courses. Absolutely fantastic, highly recommend!

It was so peaceful and quiet here, a lovely 1-2 day escape from Gabs. On our late afternoon game drive we saw pretty much all the usual animals. They don't have any of the "big five", but it was still fun to be out in the bush. The rooms are well appointed with what you'd expect, and the WiFi was reliable. Service was top notch, with everyone working there looking after us exceptionally well. It's an excellent game lodge, around 100KM from Gabs and 20KM from the SA border. Botswana food tends to be quite mild, and the mix of traditional and international dishes at meals felt a bit odd for a place with mostly tourists.

The garden is lovely and so well kept, it made me want to stay longer. The staff are really friendly and see to your needs in reasonable time, which made the stay a good one. I enjoyed the game drive, and the segway tour was amazing too. Just watch out for stones while riding. I got too excited, didn't notice one, and landed on my butt.
