Stwalo's Place

A security guard is on duty from 18:00 to 06:00, and he even washed the vehicles sometime during a long, cold night. The owner and his daughter were polite and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a fridge, private bathroom and TV with Openview. A few more movie channels would be nice, but it's not a train smash. I'd recommend this for anyone needing an overnight stay.

Eish, not having a swiping machine is a drawback, and there's not even breakfast provided. The floors and showers are old, and the showers are really small.

The Wi-Fi wasn't good in my experience, and breakfast wasn't included even though we'd been told otherwise at check-in. There is a fridge and kettle in the room. The place has the basics for a comfortable stay. It's not exceptional, but you can see they're trying.

The landscaping gives this place lovely scenery, and the rooms are neat and simple. It's a small guest house, so there aren't many rooms, but it also has a campsite where you can pitch a tent in a safe setting. There's WiFi, and the friendly owner and staff can help you out. There isn't a restaurant or shop nearby, so you'll need to drive into Lobatse. Staff can assist with that, and they allow barbecues and can help you get what you need. Look up for the brown sign marked "Stwalo's Place" with glowing lights, visible at night. It's easy to miss because it's a bit high. The turn is small, on your left when leaving Lobatse along the A1 towards Gaborone, or on your right when entering. Enjoy your stay. 😊
