Wilderness Vumbura Plains

The staff made us feel as if we'd been there for weeks, and every part of our three-night stay at Vumbura Plains was fantastic: the animals, the rooms, the food and drinks, and the people. We just left, wishing the safari experience could have lasted longer.

The service was impeccable, and the setting and rooms were beautiful. We also saw great wildlife.

North Camp rules! It felt high-end without being stuffy, and the whole staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and great fun. The rooms had everything we needed, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. They were especially thoughtful about my daughter's dietary restrictions. Our safari guide was superb, too. Vumbura Plains won the world's most sustainable hotel award, so make the smart choice and choose it. We'll be back again and again.

While we relaxed at Vumbura Plains North, elephants, kudus, and warthogs regularly came by our beautiful accommodation, which had clearly been thought through in every detail. Hippos were around day and night. We were in the northern Okavango Delta with Wilderness this time, and this is THE camp for us: brilliant staff and service, plus very well-organized game drives. Our guide Willie used his experience and tracking skills to find lions and leopards. Watching a pack of wild dogs hunt was especially spectacular. Thanks to the whole Wilderness team, from Cara and the planning through to Willie seeing us off at the airstrip. A wonderful high-end experience.
