Loft Minsk Hostel

We ended up canceling our reservation because the staff were so rude and unwilling to help. There’s barely any information on the website, and their responses were unfriendly too. Hosts like this give Belarusian service a bad name. The management needs to change.

There’s a proper kitchen with all the appliances, and the staff are friendly and cooperative. The hostel is clean, cozy and comfortable. It’s on one of Minsk’s main streets, with plenty of transport options, including metro stations. Coffee shops, banks and a grocery store are nearby. A really good place to stay with friends on a trip.

The building and lift both smelled awful, like mold, and the lift was dirty too. There was no hot water during my stay. My bunk creaked with even the smallest movement, and the mattress was so thin I could feel the wooden parts hurting my ribs. Communication was difficult because they wrote in Belarusian and didn’t use translation apps. This is the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. Only stay if you have absolutely no other choice.
