A great view, bikes and kayaks, and your own cabana with a private porch. It’s rustic and tucked away, with super friendly local owners. The main restaurants and bars are still only about a 10-15 minute walk. It has that real old school caye caulker vibe, and is perfect if you want to get away from it all.
This place felt halfway to heaven. I picked it because of the good reviews, and it turned out even better than I expected. Even the back cabina I stayed in had an ocean view. Colourful, happy vibes everywhere. Thanks to the owner, Rueben, my stay was so memorable. The island is great, and Ignacio's cabin is the right choice if you’re after the island’s motto, Go slow. Time here seemed to take a loooong pause!
You get what you pay for, I guess. The place is run down, there are no mirrors in the rooms or towels, the sheets have stains and holes, and there’s no soap. Wi-Fi only works outside reception, and so on.
Ruben was helpful with the bikes, and we had a nice stay. Nice people here, I recommend it!
Right on the water and cheap. It’s rustic but adequate, though there was no hot water and the sand flies were a nuisance.
