Island Magic Beach Resort

The pool was refreshing, the room cozy, and there was lots of fish and marine life to spot just off the dock. We left feeling rejuvenated and can’t wait to come back. It’s a lovely little spot on a perfect little island, with friendly staff, great food, and an unbelievable view. They cooked the fish and lobster we caught while fishing, and did an excellent job!

I was impressed every time we ate, whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were huge and amazing each time. The waitresses and bartenders worked so hard while still being delightful and genuine. Housekeeping was remarkable too. We stayed for 7 days, and I’ll honestly miss the staff. They were incredible, went above and beyond, and made us feel like we’d known them for years. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. I plan to return and will be so happy to see everyone again!

We only came for food and drinks, but I’d definitely consider staying here. The staff were friendly and very attentive. I recommend the lobster and shrimp coconut curry, both were excellent. The open-air indoor bar area is really nice, and the beach seating has beautiful ocean views. There’s a swim-up bar, though the pool is mostly for resort guests. I believe bar customers may be allowed to use it when resort occupancy is low.

The room had everything we needed, with enough space to spread out, plenty of storage, great A/C, and a nice patio for sitting or air-drying clothes. Staff were friendly and responsive even after hours, and helped arrange a wonderful full-day snorkeling tour with Mario's across the street. Island Magic is in a convenient spot, close to the center of things without being too loud. The Split is less than a 15 minute walk if you want to head across the island. For a drink by the water or pool, or a beachside meal, you can go downstairs to the hotel's attached restaurant. Hotel guests can swim up to the bar for a drink. There’s also the sister location on the north side of Caye Caulker, across the Split. We enjoyed its little beach and restaurant, with great ceviche and staff. If we return to Caye Caulker, we’ll check whether Island Magic has availability.
