Hidden Valley Inn

The people made our six-night February stay. Ni’Lea planned each day so thoughtfully, from a family cooking class to a day trip to the ruins in Tikal, and everything felt easy. Sevilla was a wonderful host with helpful local advice, Chef Kenron’s cooking class was a highlight, and we loved the daily pan dulce. Tiana and Tristan were kind and helpful too. Our girls had such a good time they didn’t want to leave. We stayed in both a family cottage and a Villa with our two kids. Both were beautiful, clean, and well cared for, though the Villa was extraordinary. The grounds have loads of activities and hikes, and the design lets you enjoy Belize’s natural beauty without disrupting it. We tried everything at Slate and Sap and couldn’t find a dish we didn’t like. The Ox Mul Kah and tamalitos were standouts, though honestly, it was all great. We had one of the best trips of our lives and can’t imagine choosing anywhere else next time.

The hikes and waterfalls were amazing, and the forest rangers deserve credit for keeping the bridges and paths in such good shape. We also loved the traditional food. It was the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve tried a lot. During our first few days in Belize at Hidden Valley Resort, the staff were friendly and professional and the service was excellent. The Fire Tower Villa had a fantastic view of mountain pine ridge, and the complimentary coffee and tea bar was a lovely touch. We had one of our best weekends at Hidden Valley Wilderness Lodge. The trails were clearly marked, and having walkie-talkies made it easy and safe to explore. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially Tiana, who suggested great trails and food. We’d love to do it all again.

Butterfly Falls is a must-see, and we had the private waterfall all to ourselves. The stay at Hidden. Valley was magical, with wonderful rooms, food, staff, and property. My kids, 13, 11, and 9, already want to come back. I’m almost hesitant to post because I don’t want it sold out when we return. Just book it, you’ll love it.
