The staff were really nice, and Hopkins itself felt welcoming, with kind and friendly people everywhere. Our room was simple but comfortable and clean, with AC, a TV, a kitchenette, and a private bathroom with warm water. The main drawback was how much outside noise came through. Better soundproofing on the windows and doors would help.

The purified water and coffee in the room have made me especially happy. The staff have worked so hard to make our stay comfortable, and after 10 days here I don't feel homesick at all. It feels like home away from home. This is our first time in Belize and we're really enjoying it. Thank you, Junior and everyone.

Junior does a great job keeping everything running smoothly, and there are bikes to borrow for the five-minute ride to shops and restaurants. The beach is only a two-minute walk, with chairs, towels, and snorkels available to borrow too. We stayed in the spacious Beach House, which has three rooms, a full kitchen, and A/C. It would be more useful with a mirror and some wardrobe or shelf space for storage. The tiles were chipped and the grout was coming away, and for the quality of the facilities, it felt pricey. The village location is nice.

We had one small issue, and it was handled straight away. The room came with purified water, coffee, and a little coffee maker. There are also bikes and beach chairs to borrow, plus a partly covered courtyard with seats and hammocks. It's a clean little place near the beach and restaurants, and it suited our short stay in Hopkins well.

The beds felt like they were all springs, and most things either didn't work or weren't there. There were plates and knives, but nothing to cook with. Our room for four was basically beds with about two feet of space to walk around. It wasn't beachfront as advertised, and the beach was filthy, with trash including vials and syringes. The only thing I can compliment is that it was clean. This was the worst place we stayed in Belize. Most of the photos show shared areas, too.
