Las Palmas Hotel

Charlie and his wife made my stay really enjoyable, and were incredibly helpful. I loved staying at Las Palmas Hotel in Corozal. My room was a good size, very clean, and had air-conditioning that worked perfectly. The hotel looks beautiful from the outside, and there’s someone available 24/7 if you need help. It’s also well placed, about a 5-7 minute walk from the bus station. Thank you, Charlie and his wife!

Charlie is a great host and gave us lots of useful tips on places to visit and eat. The location feels safe, with the compound closed at night and staff at the front desk 24 hours a day. The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the rooms have new AC units. The rooms themselves are okay. The showers took a while to heat up, but once warm, the water was hot and the pressure was great. There’s no mini fridge or coffee maker, which would’ve been nice, but we managed fine. I’d stay here again.

Charlie was so considerate and helpful from the moment we arrived. The welcome was great, and he helped us get around by recommending and calling a taxi driver he trusted. The driver was very nice and reliable, took us to eat and on our other trips, and charged fair prices, far below what others had tried to charge us before. The location is excellent if you’re arriving by boat or taking one in Corozal, about a 5 minute walk. It’s also a good base if you’re catching a bus or crossing the border, though you’ll need a taxi for those trips. Charlie can point you to honest, trustworthy drivers who charge fair prices. We stayed one night and highly recommend it. It’s a comfortable, safe place, and we were very well looked after. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, with new, quiet air conditioning, TV, a good hot shower, and very comfortable pillows.

We were so comfortable here that my wife and I stayed an extra two days. The room was very clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. They also have convenient laundry service. Everything you need is within walking distance, and for the price, I don’t think you can beat it in town. We’d stay again.
