Mayan Princess Hotel

Comfort and sleep were good, and the staff were very friendly. But we had no hot water for three days, and the Wi-Fi dropped out every day, sometimes staying down until the next day. The front desk guy didn't help, just said it wasn't his job and to wait until morning.

The kitchenette had what I needed for coffee, the hot plate, and the fridge, and the rooms were bright, clean, and comfortable. I felt safe here as a woman traveling alone. It's not a luxury stay, but it covered our needs, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The location is great for walking around the town center. My only suggestion would be blinds to block the strong sunlight for anyone who wants to sleep in. I'd recommend the Mayan Princess and would come back.

We were really glad we chose this hotel for our two days in San Pedro. It's simple rather than fancy, but the stay was comfortable and safe. The location was the biggest plus, within walking distance of the water taxi and plenty of places to eat and shop. From the balcony, you can catch a beautiful sunrise, and the beach and marina view feels lively but peaceful too. The beds were very comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. Staff were wonderful and handled all our requests, including complimentary items like a hair dryer and a bag of ice. I also liked seeing the old fashioned key and lock doors instead of digital cards. Thanks for a lovely stay. We'd book again if we're back in San Pedro.

Our room was clean and had a balcony, and the Wi-Fi was fast. It's right on the beach, beside central park, so meeting our tour groups was less than a minute's walk. The AC was nice, though the humidity was still a lot. A dehumidifier might make the room feel cooler. You can also buy water at a good rate from the front desk, in amounts from 0.5 to 5 gallons. I'd recommend staying here.
