Buttonwood Belize

Rosita and Deyri were especially kind and worked around what I needed. You two rock, thank you! Buttonwood Belize was a lovely place to stay in Hopkins, with thoughtfully decorated, very clean rooms.

The views were gorgeous, and the place felt private despite being right on the beach. I also loved that several funky, fun restaurants were an easy walk away.

We had the two-bedroom apartment, and it suited us perfectly. The location was ideal and the staff were wonderfully warm.

Buttonwood is our go-to in Hopkins for me, my wife, and our now six-year-old son. Christmas '24 was our fourth stay. We like its more private setting compared with sister property Coconut row, and both places are a big step up from average Belizean accommodations. Damion, the owner, and all the staff are friendly and ready to help, and the service is excellent. The pool at Coconut row is a perfect midday place to cool off. The restaurant serves high-quality food in good portions. We rent a car and explore on our own, though other guests we've talked to have enjoyed the company's excursions. We've stayed in three different rooms, two with kitchens. This last time we had the second-floor apartment without a kitchen, since eating out is easy and affordable. It was very clean, with crisp, clean sheets and fluffy towels. The A/C works as it should, and the coffee maker in each room comes with very good coffee that's replenished every day during cleaning. It's a very modern building, all the light switches work properly, and there are no sharp-edged tiles on the shower floor. If you've been to Belize before, you'll know what I mean. We'll keep coming back and recommend it to friends traveling this way.
