The staff were so friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. We had a big room, and the kitchen was well equipped apart from a stove. I managed to make eggs in the toaster oven, though. Breakfast was simple but enough, and the coffee was really good. You can walk barefoot just about everywhere from here. John the baker is around two minutes away, the grocery store about four, and the marina and shops are right behind the hotel. It's right on the beach, with kayaks, paddle boards and bikes included. There's a small gym and yoga gear on the roof, too. They rake the beach every day, and the cushioned chairs, porch hammock and clothesline were nice to have.

We spent a lot of lazy afternoons on the lounge chairs or swinging in the hammock on our porch. Our week in Placencia this past October (2025) was such a lovely stay at **Belizean Nirvana**. It's a small, peaceful place for unwinding and getting a feel for Belize, rather than a big resort with pools or restaurants on site. The staff, especially Miss Barbara and her team, were warm and accommodating, and adjusted to our schedule. The view of the ocean is beautiful, and the rooftop sunrise view is wide open and a wonderful way to start the day. The hotel is near the main strip, but on the beach it feels secluded from the shops and restaurants. If you're in a lower-level room, you're almost stepping straight onto the sand. My daughter and I absolutely loved it.

It felt like home, and we're already planning to book another visit. Our family of four came from Northern Belize, and Levi met us at the airport. On the short drive to Nirvana, he was so friendly and told us about Belize and Placencia. When we arrived, Carolyn, the managing staff member, welcomed us and showed us our accommodations. The amenities were outstanding, and breakfast was different each day. The hotel is truly right on the beach. We've traveled extensively, and this place gets 10 out of 10, five stars out of five. I can't say enough about it.

We got to know some of the locals during our stay, which was lovely. Nirvana is within walking distance of everything in Placentia Village, and we'll definitely come back. My husband and I stayed eight nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, and they served a delicious continental breakfast each morning. Our room had everything we needed, including a kitchenette and robes for wearing on the beach or balcony. And the view was amazing.
