Brisa Oceano Resort

The property looks nice and has potential, but several problems overshadowed our stay. We were charged an unexplained $40. We hadn't ordered or used anything, and when we emailed to ask what it was for, nobody replied. After the other issues, that fee felt like the final sign that something was wrong. The room we got wasn't the one we booked. We talked with other guests who said the same had happened to them. The listing photos seem to jumble different room types together, so it's impossible to tell what you're paying for. It feels deliberately misleading, not like an accident. And the internet was basically unusable, so unreliable it might as well have been nonexistent. In 2026, working internet is a basic expectation, and you should expect extra charges if you try to get online.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, with full kitchens that make longer visits comfortable. This time my family and I had an ocean-facing room, and the views were amazing. It's just steps from the sand and water, with easy access to the beach. Brisa Oceano has a small gym on site and offers airport shuttle service in both directions. Many great restaurants and local beach bars are within walking distance. We really enjoy staying here whenever we visit Belize, and it's a great place that I highly recommend.

The rooms are comfortable and up to date, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Sterling Steak House on site is a 10 out of 10!

We had a pleasant stay, and everything else was great, but the room cleaning was disappointing. When the room was due for service, they brought fresh towels and didn't clean or even wipe the floors. Our beach-view room had a lovely balcony looking straight out at the ocean, and the hotel is right on the beach. The beach itself is nice, though it could use a bit of cleanup to remove some plastic.
