The Flying Toucan

The biggest problem for me was the dogs barking through the night. It would stop for a bit, then start up again, every night but one. I liked the location, but I'm not sure I could handle the dogs another time. Our lower-level patio wasn't great either, with tarped bikes beside it and cars parked right against the railing. The upstairs level would have had a better view. We stayed a week in the Choco unit. The staff were exceptionally helpful, responsive to questions even before our stay, and arranged transport from placencia airport to the cottage. The unit was cute, the kitchen well stocked for meals at home, and the small bed was super comfortable. Just don't leave luggage or other things on the floor, since millipedes came in everywhere each night. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the sister property where we went to the beach every day. It was a nice spot, with clean bathrooms and a small beach bar.
