Hatchet Caye Resort

We had so much fun diving, snorkeling, and relaxing around the island. Jose and Franklin made sure we were well fed and took great care of us. Florette was a wonderful guide who knew so much about the island. The Ray Caye team looked after us so well on our incredible Belize trip. Thanks, everyone!

There’s so much to do on the island, and the food is outstanding. We had the best time at this incredible resort. I can’t wait to come back!

Management needs to address how the front desk manager treats Latin customers, including people from Guatemala and Honduras. She seems to give them less respectful service than customers from places like the USA, where her service appears better. That raises serious concerns about her attitude and professionalism.

The snorkeling was our favorite part. There’s a small reef right by the island where you can swim out and see lots of marine life. I’d also recommend the trip to the Silk Cayes and Turtle Spot. It was my favorite experience at Ray Caye. We loved waking up to the ocean from our serene, private honeymoon suite. After a day in the water, it was a lovely place to come back to. The views are stunning wherever you are on the island, and we kept stopping to admire them at different spots and times of day. The people were genuinely friendly and helpful, from the boat crew who brought us over to the restaurant team and everyone else on the island. The restaurant changes its menu each night, and every meal was excellent. We arrived just as lobster season opened and were lucky to try a couple of wonderful lobster dishes. The island felt like a postcard, and we can’t wait to return for the sea, wildlife, food, and lovely people.
