Clarissa Falls Resort

Azucena, or Cena, was an amazing host, cook, and conversationalist. She made us feel at home, and we now think of her as a good friend. Jack the dog and Clarrisa Chloe the cat were part of the warm welcome, too. The food was outstanding, especially the rice and beans and tacos, and the fresh juices, particularly papaya, were so refreshing. My family and I stayed at Clarrisa for four nights in a family suite with two bathrooms, which worked perfectly for the four of us. Cena booked our tours and rearranged the plans when rain ruled out a cave activity. She even drove us to the Guatemala border and back so we could take a day trip to Tikal on a different day than planned. The location on the Mopan River is picturesque and convenient for activities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Palumbo Family.

It’s a beautiful place to relax, and the staff are sweet. The owner, Chena, is incredibly warm and friendly. We loved the resort pets, Clarissa the cat and Jax the dog.

One of my favorite spots for overlanders, with a beautiful river and a lovely campground. The downside is there’s no electricity, so you need to bring your own.

The owner served my wife and me, and the service was excellent. She had stew chicken, while I tried sere, a fish stew I’d never eaten before. Good lord, it was amazing, and it’s now my favorite dish in Belize. The property is beautiful to walk around and full of nature. Definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area.
