We came back for a second stay because this place worked so well for us. It’s central, the WiFi is good, and there’s a fan in the room. You can keep a few small things in the fridge, and there’s a shared spot to sit and have coffee in the morning. The owner and staff were full of helpful tips whenever we asked, and they let us leave our bags there until we needed to go. Would happily recommend it.

The rooftop view over the city is a real plus, and there’s a shared kitchen with dishes, a full fridge, and a stove. We also made use of the clotheslines upstairs after visiting ATM cave. From the outside, it may not look like much, but inside it’s clean and welcoming, with friendly staff who made us feel at home. The rooms are simple, hostel-style, and kept tidy, with competitive prices and plenty of useful extras.

For a night or two in San Ignacio, Cayo Belize, this is a good budget option for solo travelers. Acropolis Maya Hotel has basic rooms with private bathrooms, but everything was clean and the linens were fresh.

The owners are helpful, though I sometimes had trouble understanding them. Rooms are clean and more spacious than most at this price. For those hot afternoons, I’d suggest choosing air conditioning. It’s a good budget hotel option in San Ignacio.

The room was clean and quiet, with a private bathroom, a comfortable bed, TV, fan, and a little table and chair. There was also a small veranda to sit on, and the WiFi was fast.
