The drive takes some care: you need a 4WD, and Google Maps may send you to turn too early. Pass the first cabins sign, continue about a minute to the second, then turn right and follow the road up and around. It’s close to town, about a 7-10 minute drive, but feels nicely removed. There’s also a fantastic pupusa place just down the hill. We loved our stay. The owners are kind, and their darling rescue dogs roam around. The beds were very comfortable, the AC worked well, and they provide coffee and filtered drinking water. Mornings on the enclosed patio were so peaceful, watching birds, and at night we swung in the hammock and watched geckos hunt insects.

Juliet and Tony made our stay memorable with restaurant suggestions, a guidebook in the room, and help arranging delivery after a long day. They really went above and beyond, and Juliet’s breakfasts are a must-try. The cabana was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed.

A cabin tucked among the trees, about five minutes from town, makes this a great base for exploring the San Ignacio area. It’s close by but much more relaxed. The owners were very helpful, and our large, clean, well-organized studio had everything we needed. The screened porch was heaven.

Juliet and Tony were incredibly kind, friendly hosts and helped us with everything we needed. The property was beautiful, and we loved relaxing on the porch and in the hammock with the cutest dogs around. Juliet’s homemade breakfast is a must-try. We also had a full kitchenette, filtered water, and a cooler. This was the best Airbnb experience I’ve had, and I absolutely recommend it.

The hosts were the best part. Juliet and Tony greeted us, checked in attentively, gave us great food recommendations, and even came to rescue us when our car got stuck. They also provided filtered water, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay with them again. The accommodations were clean and well equipped. Our kitchenette had everything for making breakfast each day, and the screened porch with its hammock and table was lovely. The location is close to the main part of San Ignacio and walkable, though the hill makes getting there a little hard, but doable. We loved being in the jungle. Santa Cruz Cabins is a great Airbnb, you can’t go wrong.
