The location was perfect, and I’d happily come back here. The showers had strong water pressure, the Wi-Fi was good, and there was free breakfast and free bicycles. The kitchen and hangout rooms were useful, the rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the AC worked well. Staff were especially friendly and helpful, and they can arrange whatever tours you’re after. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in 🤝🇫🇮

The walk to the city center was easy, and the location felt pleasantly relaxed, with ruins right behind the hostel. Inside, everything was clean and had all the amenities I needed. Breakfast was buffet style and really filling. I also loved the shared spaces, especially that big window.

I booked excursions through the hostel, which was really easy. For the ATM cave tour, Josiah and Jeremy were our guides and did an amazing job, making the trip even better. The owner bubbles brought such fun energy, and the other staff were lovely and helpful too. This ended up being one of my favorite hostels by far. I can’t wait to return to Belize.

I first stayed here with my daughter in January 2025 to assess the hostel for my study abroad program. At that time, the rooms seemed good for the price, the tours to MPR and Xunantunich were run in-house, and I liked the location. But when I brought 14 students in January 2026, several female participants faced repeated unwanted advances from Bubbles and others associated with him. Students reported that Bubbles waited near the shower door as they came out, knocked on their door while they were getting dressed, and tried to lure them into his room. He also gave them free drinks at the bar. Other reviews describe similar incidents. Young women and coordinators of student groups should take this review, and similar reviews, seriously and plan accordingly. I won’t bring students to this hostel again.
