Mana Kai Camping & Cabins

A peaceful camping spot immersed in nature, right in the middle of San Ignacio. You can walk to the market and main square, and the staff are very nice and easy going. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and car camping is also an option for a very reasonable price. Organized group excursions to caves, waterfalls, and more are available.

I loved my 6 night stay in the cabin, with its screened porch and the large property’s shared open-air kitchen and chill areas. There were lots of songbirds early in the day, including toucans. The location is great, across from the market and within walking distance of town. Francisco is a wonderful host!

The place felt more like a campground with a few rooms than the lodging I had in mind. The room was plain, with no amenities, and there was no housekeeping. The shared outdoor kitchen looked like a Jungle Cruise set piece. The office was locked when I arrived and the guy was elsewhere on the property. It's only a three-minute walk to town, but it was VERY loud. There were no windows, just bars, screens, and shutters. A nearby rooster started around 4, and motorcycles had no mufflers. My room also didn't look like the photos on booking.com. Nothing bad happened, it just wasn't what I expected. If you're there to camp, you'll probably be happy.

The host was professional and gave helpful recommendations, and the setting felt like a peaceful patch of jungle. Getting around without a car was easy, with the market right nearby and good cafes and restaurants close by. The cabins were lovely, with cozy, high-quality bedding, and I really liked the shared outdoor kitchen.
