Seven Seas Resort

The staff made late check-in easy and were quick to respond on WhatsApp. The bar staff were great too. The hotel gets so many little things right, from beach towels and a laundry hamper bag to sugar packets for the coffee. And they supplied coffee grounds and a coffee maker. The room was huge, with a comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, a living room with a table and futon, and a kitchen packed with appliances. I don’t understand the “2 star” rating, Google has that wrong. You can watch the sun rise over the ocean from the balcony with your coffee. It’s right by the water and a little over a 20-minute walk from town, lots of good restaurants, and plenty of lively beach bars. Go to Estel’s! The bar has great drinks and food, friendly people, and nightly entertainment like bingo and karaoke. It’s the most fun place to go from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., then things wind down completely. My room faced the bar, but I had no noise complaints and slept really well. I’ve never stayed somewhere with such a lively atmosphere that also respected quiet hours. Great value for money, I’d definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff, I’m obsessed with y’all.

Such a welcoming, personal place, with really friendly and helpful staff. The spacious room had a full kitchen, and the pool and patio were lovely. We enjoyed the festive feel at the Nauti Crab bar, plus the rooftop patio for morning coffee and stargazing. We caught fish and they cooked it for us, absolutely delicious. We also used the snorkel and boat services right in front of the hotel. It was easy to walk around and explore town, the location is ideal.

Nauti Crab puts on events five nights a week, including trivia and hilarious crab races. So much fun! There’s a nice pool in the courtyard garden, and the restaurant food was pretty good. Mandy the manager was terrific and super helpful. We had a five-gallon water container in our room, and the laundry service was very convenient and cheap, so we weren’t adding more plastic bottles to the world. And Lucy the resident cat is the cutest, spunky little thing. We stayed in top-floor corner unit #5 because we wanted the corner and a full kitchen. It has a full-size fridge and full stove with oven, which is great for a longer stay. The unit is due for a remodel, the other rooms are more updated and polished, and that’s the only reason I gave it four stars. We’d totally stay here again.

If you want a hot shower after a long day, look elsewhere. Our upgraded suite had no hot water, and I asked repeatedly for someone to fix it. They said someone had been called, but nothing changed. Then the water stopped working altogether, and I asked three times about it. They contacted me after this review and temporarily opened a downstairs room so I could shower. It felt like they only reached out partly because of the review. I never got hot water during my three days there. They twice told me it worked when it didn’t, and they didn’t seem to care about fixing it. The location is nice, but the stay was very uncomfortable. The owner definitely should make this right. Who doesn’t love cold showers!
