Baoase Luxury Resort

The peace and privacy at Baoase were remarkable. Everything was kept in impeccable condition, and the service felt both warm and polished. It’s one of the most special places in Curaçao for anyone who values quality, discretion, and high standards. The attention to detail is real, and the resort consistently maintains a high level. I’d confidently recommend it. I’d also love to know whether Melvin, Lars and mio are still part of the team. It would be a pleasure to see them again.

We only ate at the sunset deck restaurant at Baoase resort for “Italian night”; we didn’t stay at the hotel. The location was lovely, but the food was a real disappointment and far too expensive. Calling it Italian night felt like a stretch. The pizza tasted frozen, the arrabiatta sauce seemed canned and had way too much chili, and the fettucine was falling apart as if overcooked. We also ordered carbonara, but it tasted like butter and pasta, which was strange. The wine cost far more than at other restaurants. A bottle of Whispering Angel, a pretty “meh” but safe rosé, was about $130, when it’s around $20 at a grocery store. Honestly, if I were choosing between a $700 dinner here and a $25 meal at some random Italian place, I’d pick the Italian place.

The food was a highlight, especially the Indian Night dinner. The dishes were full of flavor and beautifully presented, and the beachfront setting made the evening memorable. Baoase Luxury Resort gave us one of the best vacations we’ve had. The property is stunning, relaxing, intimate, and clearly well cared for. From the private beach and pool to the restaurant and bar, the facilities were top-notch. Service was exceptional throughout. Anthony, the manager, was warm and professional, and clearly cared about looking after every guest. My wife especially enjoyed chatting with Joey, the bartender, who was friendly and made us feel like regulars. We’d highly recommend Baoase and are already looking forward to returning.

The day pass included the beach and lagoon, a three-course lunch, water, chaise lounges, and use of kayacks and other water toys. Baoase has a very Zen feel to it. The staff, Lionel, Theresa, Bjorn, and Andreen, were attentive and helpful, and made the day for us. It was my husband’s birthday. Thanks to the chef for the great food. Kindest regards, Kris Turco
