Best Western Plus Regency Inn & Conference Centre

We’ve stayed here before and have always had good service. This time it was a last-minute booking, and the room was clean and tidy. The front desk clerk was polite and answered my questions. I lucked into covered parking on Friday, December 4/25, just before the massive rains got even worse. We had buffet breakfast across the way the next morning. As at the other Best Westerns I’ve visited, there was a great selection, and even my picky teenager ate well. The staff were great and kept the hot food replenished quickly.

The food is the standout here. The pastries and breads are delicious and truly one of a kind, with real care and quality in every item. The shop is beautiful too, with a great atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place that gets so much right.

The kids love the pool, and we get to relax in the hot tub. The beds are comfortable, and breakfast has a huge selection with something for everyone. This hotel consistently has the cleanest rooms and amenities.

People with keys started trying to enter our room at 9 am, even though we had a 2 pm checkout. Just after 11, someone unlocked the door and tried again, then yelled that we needed to leave. I told her we had late checkout. She said nothing, didn’t apologize, and left the door partly open. At noon, the front desk called to ask when we were checking out. We won a one-night certificate in an online auction, and the late checkout was clearly listed on it. I handed it over when we checked in, and the same checkout time had also been confirmed when I first reserved. This was supposed to be a relaxing romance package, but it was more stressful than trying to sleep in a queen bed at home with a Great Dane and two cats. How hard is it for them to do their jobs? The room was clean, at least. The other unpleasant moment was seeing a couple making out in the pool beside kids trying to swim. Then they moved to the hot tub two feet from us and kept at it.
