Seine Boat Inn

Coleman made our visit especially memorable. He was so warm and gentle, and shared lots of helpful context and information for exploring the island. We stayed one night in the upper waterfront suite, which was thoughtfully decorated and had everything we needed. The morning view is one we won't forget. We hope to come back.

The room was ready even though we arrived hours ahead of check-in, and it exceeded what we expected. It had a terrific view, spacious private decks, plenty of parking, and a kitchenette with everything we needed. Inside, it was spotless, with a comfortable bed, good heating, and lots of windows for fresh air. The owner was tending his amazing flower garden when we arrived. He did all the custom finishing in the units himself, and he's super nice, with plenty of interesting stories about life in Alert Bay. Thank you, Colin!

We loved the peaceful atmosphere right on the water, especially the view, and the rooms were incredibly spacious and well appointed. Peter and Aileen were genuinely kind and welcoming, with wonderful customer service. The bathroom was beautiful and clean, and the towels were good quality; the wood floors were a nice touch too. There were thoughtful extras throughout, including a great fridge, hot water kettle, toaster oven, and a kitchen setup for light meals and tea in the morning or evening. This romantic spot exceeded all our expectations, and we'll definitely return. A lovely choice for a quiet waterfront escape.

Such a dreamy escape, with friendly staff and beautiful rooms that are well equipped. It's right beside the ferry and has a spectacular ocean view. One of the most amazing hotel stays I've had, and I'm looking forward to coming back soon.
