We stayed in Cottage #3 with family for a June weekend, our first visit to the resort. The cottage felt modern, and the beds were so comfortable it was almost like a hotel, with the charm of being by the lake. Everything was well maintained, and the owners were warm and friendly. You can tell they take pride in looking after the property. We were really impressed and hope to come back.

It's easy to relax here, and the cottages make a cozy home base for activities in the park. They're right on the lake, beautifully situated and furnished with care. The hostess was incredibly nice, too. We really enjoyed our stay and will have to come back one day.

We had a fantastic weekend with all 11 of us, and the cottage price was quite reasonable. Cottages 11 and 12 had okay-sized rooms, a small living room, a table for six and compact kitchens with what we needed to cook for up to six people per cottage. They smelled fresh, not musty, and had clearly been renovated recently. They weren't waterfront, but the playground right in front kept us happy, with swings, slides, ping pong, a basketball court and a giant floor checkerboard. There were also lots of gazebos around the property. The clean sandy beach had no water vegetation that I could see, and the calm lake looked picture-perfect early in the morning. Use of the self-propelled watercraft was free. PFDs cost $5 per person for the whole stay, a much better deal than the other place we visited this summer, where canoes and kayaks were $5 per 30 minutes and PFDs $5 per person per day. Firewood was $12 a bag, with kindling included. The tap water was okay, with no metallic smell, and I used it to brush my teeth. We brought city water for cooking anyway, though I'm sure the tap water is potable. In the summer heat, bringing fans might be a good idea since there's just one ceiling fan in the living room. My one drawback was the schedule: check-in was at 1500 and checkout at 1000. I would have preferred 1200 for both. Before heading to Cloverleaf, we visited Stubbs falls at Arrowhead Park, had lunch there, then got ice cream at Kawartha Dairy in Huntsville. The day pass parking was $21 per vehicle. We'd booked for next year before we left. Cloverleaf Cottages, see you then, and thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We've stayed here before, and the place just keeps getting better. We brought bikes this time for our trip to Algonquin Provincial Park. The hosts were friendly, and the cottage and grounds were spotless, well kept and tastefully decorated. The flower gardens were beautiful, and there were fresh flowers in a vase inside the cottage.

The drive from Ottawa to Dwight, ON took about 3.5 hours and was beautiful. We came for a quick family weekend, but it was so short we booked another one at Cloverleaf. Our clean, well-equipped cottage had three bedrooms, one queen, one double and two single beds, two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath, and a full kitchen with a fridge and stove. The deck had a patio set and barbecue, and there were fire pits along the beach. You can buy firewood at the office. Some cottages are right on the water, and the others are within walking distance of the beach. We could watch the sunset from the gazebos or docks, and having a fire on the beach in the cozy weather was lovely. Another great surprise was that Cloverleaf is just 20 minutes from Algonquin Park's 14 trails, off Highway 60. If you like nature walks and being outside before it gets too cold, it's a perfect spot. Looking forward to making more memories here.
