Motel Rustik

The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked really well, so the motel seemed like good value. The mattresses weren’t great, but that was manageable. The problem was being charged for my two children, aged 2 and 6. The owner said it was because I’d already received a reduced price, which felt stingy. When you’re traveling with kids, you end up forgetting about the discount.

We’d paid for one night and already had the key, but when we came back later that day, two other people were in our room. Fortunately, they found another room for us. We’d arrived early in the morning and booked then, but the mix-up made for a pretty disappointing stay. We won’t be back.

We had to stay here again the following week because we had no choice, with the room paid for by my employer. This time it was filthy: the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, there was trash and dust everywhere, even in the bathroom, and the entrance mat had crumbs, dirt, and hair all over it. The room smelled like old, stale clothes, and there were cigarette burns on the armchairs and sheets. The bedding was wrinkled and stained. Disgusting 😣😣😣😣😣😣 May 30, 2018. The first stay had already been nothing special. The place smelled old, the blanket was badly worn, and the owner didn’t seem to care about guests. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The units connect through a small concierge service, and there’s no way to lock the door, so privacy isn’t fully assured. Otherwise, it was what I expected, though there was a somewhat unpleasant smell.
