Motel Horizon

During breakfast, the owner stayed right beside us offering advice, which made eating indoors feel uncomfortable. It would be better to post clear rules, like how much food guests can take and how to heat the bread, instead of muttering rude things about guests behind their backs. Travelers come from around the world and have different cultures.

There’s a lovely sea view, and the outdoor yard has plenty of fun activities. Breakfast was great, too. The place is clean, quiet, and very well kept, with extremely welcoming, friendly staff. It’s an excellent place to stay when visiting Tadoussac for whale watching.

I come back every year during our annual Tadoussac trip. It’s in an excellent spot for heading to the Fjords or continuing east.

We had so much fun at Horizon 777, and I’d return in a heartbeat. It was very clean and homey, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Rosemary bushes in front of each room gave off a faint spa scent, and the balcony view was insane. Breakfast was a treat: fresh handmade croissants, rhubarb muffins made with rhubarb from the owner’s extensive gardens, plus fruit, juice, yogurt, excellent coffee, and handmade cupcakes. On a dreary, gray day, I asked for a fire even though the wood was wet. The owner worked at it for 30 minutes so I could enjoy one. The owner’s care and love really showed in every corner.
