The grounds are spotless and the view is incredible. I haven't stayed in the rooms, so this is just about the restaurant. The food is fresh and always cooked just right, and the staff and waitresses are lovely to deal with and clearly work hard. Prices are in line with other places nearby, sometimes even lower for comparable dishes. Lobster does cost what it costs, of course. Best restaurant around here.

We stumbled in for lunch by chance, and got very lucky. The scenery was amazing, but the food was just as memorable: the lobster roll, chowder, and maple salad dressing were all fantastic. Prices were surprisingly reasonable, including at the gift shop.

The dinner service took a little shine off an otherwise lovely stay. We had booked a table, but one of our starters showed up after the main course, so everything ended up on the table together. We felt hurried to finish and pay. The lodge itself was clean, comfortable, and lovely.

We only ate at the restaurant, and the staff made it a great visit. They were friendly, attentive, quick, and helpful. My wife enjoyed her fish chowder after swapping it in for the chips with her fish and chips. I had pan-fried haddock with dill sauce, vegetables, and a baked potato. The food was fabulous, the best I've had in months. I can't remember the last time I gave a restaurant a perfect score.

We went around 10am and it was quiet then, though they said tour buses can make it busy at times. Sea birds were fishing outside the windows, and the lovely grounds had chairs for taking in the ocean view or watching kids play at the park feature. The service was perfect and the food delicious. This was one of my favourite places to eat during our 10 days in Nova Scotia, and it had the best view of the places we visited. I'm reviewing only the restaurant, not the rooms. Definitely recommend stopping in.
