Days Inn by Wyndham Toronto East Beaches

The Beaches location is a real plus, with plenty of life around. The hotel itself is pretty standard, and the service is just up to par. Staff were friendly enough, but the hall smelled like dirty laundry as soon as you went in. The bed wasn’t the source of it; it seemed more like an odor in the carpet that hadn’t been steam cleaned.

The room had enough space, and the free WiFi could handle streaming, but that was about it. This is budget priced, and it shows. Check-in service was adequate, though not especially friendly. The decor could use an update, and the morning coffee was weak and watery. Either the walls are paper thin or people were really loud in the hallways, and there was also random noise from outside. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff treated us well, and breakfast was decent, with toast, coffee, oatmeal, and the like. I stayed one night, and it wasn’t as bad as I’d expected. There was some odor in the hall, but the room itself smelled fine. Parking is limited and first come, first served. If you have a larger car, you might be better off leaving it at home and taking an Uber. It’s a two star hotel, so people should judge it on the basics rather than as if it were a five star resort.

The room was clean, spacious, and well kept, and getting to the hotel was easy. There’s a movie theater and a 24 hour convenience store nearby, plus some fast food places within walking distance. The lack of a late checkout was frustrating: I had to leave by 11 am even though my flight wasn’t until that night.
