We slept well in clean rooms, and the restaurant was great. The staff were amazing, and the location right by the lake was lovely.

A great base for the Cabot Trail or a trip to Louisbourg. The motel was full when we visited, yet fairly quiet. Our room was clean and the shower was good. The mattress was the main drawback: old, oddly hard in the middle, and sagging at the edge. I also woke several times because the fan rattled the glass cover on the light. I screwed it back on during the night, since it seemed like it might fall off otherwise.

The restaurant gave us two excellent meals, and breakfast was especially good, with fish cakes and beans. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay at the Cabot Trail Motel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the view from our room was stunning. We’ll be back.

The view of the lake from our room was beautiful, and it was fairly quiet apart from the highway traffic, which you get used to. Check-in was friendly and helpful, and the motel was a good place to rest. It’s dated, but very clean. The bathroom door was awkwardly hung on the wrong side, and there wasn’t an outlet on my side of the bed for my CPAP, so I used an extension cord. The outdoor ice machine by the office was handy. When I asked to buy more coffee, the nice lady gave me extra at no charge and even offered real cream. I brought my own. We didn’t use the Wi-Fi because the cell reception wasn’t terrible. I’d stay here again.

The dining room had a great choice for both breakfast and supper, and the food and service were excellent. Our room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lake view was beautiful. Highly recommend!
