The owner was easy to talk with over breakfast, which was excellent. The warm welcome and attentive service made a difference, too. The house is beautifully decorated and feels clean and peaceful. I’d recommend it if you’re looking to unwind in a lovely old home.

The gardens and grounds feel like a little oasis, even though the Plantation House is close to downtown Port Hope. Rose made us feel welcome with her gracious, attentive hosting, and we were very comfortable in our room. The historic house is beautifully decorated, and breakfast was tasty. We also had a great chat over the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit last month. Thank you, Rose, for your kindness!

For one night, my friend Steffi and I got to enjoy Rose’s style, luxury, and pampering. She’s such a charming, friendly, funny host, and we had a great chat. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us, Rose!

You can sit with a glass of wine in one of the many seating areas, enjoy the dappled shade, and listen to the birds. It’s a peaceful, quiet place on a dead-end street in lovely Port Hope, with tasty spots like the Carlyle and a lovely river trail within easy walking distance. Miss Rose is a delightful host, an excellent cook, and an enthusiastic gardener. Her BnB is spotlessly clean, with linen sheets and high-end toiletries. Highly recommend!

We’ve been coming to Plantation House pretty much every year for over 20 years, and Rose’s warm welcome is a big part of why. Her beautiful home is a feast for the senses, and the beds are comfortable and luxurious. Breakfasts are scrumptious and artfully served. What’s not to love about an experience that’s unfailingly lovely?
