Bancroft Bed & Breakfast

Kathryn was the highlight for me. She’s such a friendly, helpful person, and our conversations were so good I feel like I’ve made a friend for life. I stayed in the “Rainbow” room for two nights. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with my own bathroom containing a sink and toilet. There’s only one shower on that floor, but getting access was never an issue. The bed was very comfortable, too. Breakfast was delicious both mornings, and came with fresh fruit. I really enjoyed my stay and would choose this place again whenever I’m in the area.

Coming back the next year and doing the same thing confirmed I’d happily stay here again. I was in town for the fall deer hunt, getting up early each morning, and Kathryn made me a nice breakfast. After a day out, it was good to return, warm up, have a beer and a hot shower, then sleep well before the next day. I stayed for a few days in the first week of November. The house is spacious, beautiful inside and out, very clean, warm, and dry, with lots of convenient parking. It’s also quiet and peaceful, and Kathryn was a very nice host. Kathryn was so welcoming and helpful. She told us where to eat, talked us through the businesses around town and suggested places to go. After dinner, my son and I relaxed in her living room and watched the hockey game, then had a fantastic breakfast in the morning. I enjoyed our conversation over breakfast, too. She’s smart and has had so many interesting life experiences. We arrived by snowmobile, and the house is right on the trail. It’s a beautiful older home with lots of character, and it was spotless.

Kathryn made us feel at home, and we’d definitely stay again. We spent one night at the Bancroft B&B in January. The room was warm and had everything we needed, and breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order just how we wanted it. Great value.
