The pool area was a highlight, with nice tile, a waterfall, a pretty stained glass window, showers stocked with the hotel shampoo, and a steam room. They also provided robes that were handy for the pool and hot tub. The lobby was clean and welcoming, with fresh apples and water available all day, and the staff were pleasant. Our room had been recently remodeled. It was simple but tasteful, with comfortable bedding, a cozy fleece blanket in the closet, cute bedside lamps, plenty of charging outlets, coat hooks, and drawers in both the room and bathroom. The lodge is right on Banff’s Main Street, so shops and restaurants are walkable. There’s also a bus around town and to the ski areas if you need it.

After a long 10-hour flight from Romania, this was just what we needed. We felt great at the hotel and had a memorable stay. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the staff were respectful and friendly. There are lots of tourist attractions nearby, too. Congratulations, and see you soon! ❤️❤️❤️

We stayed at the Royal Canadian Lodge for three nights last week, from 9/16 to 9/19, and really enjoyed it. Neil, the concierge, arranged tours for us ahead of time, so we had very little to worry about. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. They did what they could to accommodate us, and housekeeping kept our room neat each day. The room was very clean and larger than most. I appreciated the grab bar by the tub and shower, a safety feature I wish more hotels had. The restaurant staff were lovely, and the fish and chips were wonderful. The building has a beautiful Canadian Mountain feel, and the price was reasonable for the location. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so good.

I felt right at home at the Royal Canadian Lodge. The restaurant food was excellent, and the location was close to everything while still feeling peaceful. My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were welcoming and friendly, with great service throughout. I had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

I booked the Royal Canadian Lodge for its 4-star facilities and standard, but on arrival I was told my reservation had been moved to another hotel without my clear prior consent. We were worn out from travelling and needed somewhere to rest, so at that point we didn’t really have a choice. We felt dismissed and pushed around rather than welcomed. There was no sincere apology or clear explanation, and no proper effort to offer alternatives or make things right. The handling of this was poor, as was the staff hospitality. I was extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend booking here if you expect your reservation and arrangements to be respected.
