Hush Lodge

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at Hush Lodge. This weekend was our first time in Cabin#1, and it’s a new favourite. It was clean, had everything we needed, and even had a hammock. The owner is so friendly and kind, and always checks in to make sure we’re comfortable. There’s a beautiful view of the water, and I highly suggest walking around the property. They also have a park for little ones. I can’t wait for my family’s next trip to barrys bay. Thank you Firdous and staff for the amazing hospitality! On an earlier visit, I thought it was my third stay. It’s always been a great experience, with a welcoming, super friendly owner and a clean, fresh smelling place. I can vouch that it’s child friendly, and I think it would still be couple friendly if I came just with my husband. I love that you can stay in cabins instead of inside the hotel. There’s a lovely trail, a playground, a few fire pits, a soccer field, and a beautiful lake behind the hotel. I’ll definitely be back with my family.

We booked a vacation here at the last minute about a week ago and had such a nice time. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and above all, really clean. The owner was friendly and helpful. There was all the cooking equipment we needed, nice soaps in the bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Outside, there’s a BBQ and tables for eating, along with a play structure and trampoline. It’s very kid friendly and dog friendly, which was great. They had some boats that were ghetto af, but still really fun to use. The water was beautiful, covered in lily flowers like a painting. I’d never seen that before. I’d definitely recommend this place for a vacation.

We spent four days at Hush Lodge in July while my sister-in-law was getting married at our family cottage nearby. It was great having a quiet retreat to escape to when we weren’t busy getting ready for the big party. I was 9 months pregnant and really appreciated the comfortable king size bed. The room was clean and comfortable, the owner was delightful and accommodating, and everything was just what we needed.

This was our second stay at the Hush Lodge, and it was great again. We first found the place last year in the fall and stayed with a couple of friends and families. Ferdos is a warm, friendly host, and when we had 3-4 families for a barbq, he offered his barbq grill. The lake behind the lodge has a paddle boat that was fun. The standard rooms, king suite, and cottages are well maintained. We visited in Mar this time, and our room was cosy, warm, and well equipped. Glad we found this hidden gem and a great host. Definitely recommend!
