Days Inn Kamloops BC

Staff were very friendly and hospitable, and we felt the stay was great value for the money. We were passing through Kamloops on the way to the coast and stayed two pleasant nights at Days Inn. The breakfast area was spotless, with a pancake maker, cheese omelette patties, sausages, toast, yogurt, and cereal. The bathroom looked recently remodeled and was very clean, with a nice deep tub and shower. The room was a decent size and had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. The beds were very comfortable, with clean linens and lots of pillows. Lighting was good, and USB ports and outlets were easy to reach, which mattered with a CPAP machine. There was construction next door, but the room stayed very quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The hotel was arranged for me by the health agency for Sunday and Friday nights last week, while I was traveling for work in the Fraser canyon. It’s older and could use some upgrades, and there’s a huge construction site next door, so I was worried the stay might be sub-par. It turned out fine and I slept well. There are lots of food options within walking distance. The staff were nice, and I had the same spacious room both nights with a very comfy bed. The lighting could be better, and although the washroom was clean, the sink drained slowly. Breakfast was fine, with good yogurt, cereal, juice, and coffee, plus basic egg omelette patties and sausages. I would’ve liked some fruit and a different channel on the loud TV. American college football wasn’t needed.

I really appreciated how accommodating Days Inn was. They got us a room that night on the first floor so my mom could get in and out easily. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed was comfy, the AC worked really well, and the shower pressure was off the charts. I was in town for my mom’s surgery and initially staying at another hotel. They said we had to move because they had a government contract for firefighters. I’m very glad the firefighters and evacuated people had somewhere to stay, but it put me in a tough spot. The hotel they sent us to wasn’t handicap accessible, despite what they said. I eventually got my money back, then called Days Inn.

The location was perfect for tired travelers, with free parking and lots of restaurants within walking distance. After a hot day in the car, the strong AC was a treat. We slept so well that we missed breakfast, though I overheard another guest say it was pretty good. We had a lovely stay, and I don’t understand the low reviews. The front desk staff were so welcoming and warm, and check-in was a breeze. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the shower pressure out of this world. The staff were absolutely amazing, and I hope they know how appreciated they are. We’d easily stay again and tell our friends and family to come too. 10/10 for the stay and sleep. Thanks so much!
