Motel-St-Bruno

The staff made sure I had what I needed, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and roomy. I also loved the cozy, distinctive design and all the little details. It made my stay at Motel St-Bruno feel special, and I’d happily come back. Highly recommend it if you want somewhere with a bit of character.

My room had been redone with new furniture, fixtures, and flooring, which was a nice surprise since the shared areas outside the rooms looked worn and dated. The room and bathroom were clean, with fresh towels and cloths, soap by the sink, and shampoo and shower gel in the shower. The Roku TV worked well, the AC was great, and the curtains gave good privacy. The bed was in good shape but quite firm. The staff were polite, and I appreciated them trying to speak English with me even though I know some French. I didn’t need anything after settling in, so I can’t really rate what the service is like if you need help. Wi-Fi was weak in my second-floor room around the middle of the motel, so I used mobile data. At $129 a night it felt a bit pricey, though it’s fine if you just need a clean place to sleep with the basics. The entrance comes up quickly on the right as you drive down the road. There was some car noise in the morning, but I’m not bothered by noise, and with the AC on I couldn’t hear it. If you need quiet, mornings could be an issue.

The TVs being Rokus was a nice touch and gave me more viewing options. Inside, the rooms have been refurbished and were clean and functional, though sparse, which seemed fair for the price. The outside of the hotel is quite run-down and needs repairs. The bigger problem was the railway line right beside it. Passing trains caused a lot of noise and vibration in the room, more than a white noise machine could cover.

The rooms have been renovated recently, and I had a comfortable, easy stay. The staff were attentive and friendly. I’d recommend it.
