Meridian Inn & Suites Lloydminster

I’ve stayed here before and had clean rooms, good parking, and free breakfast. This time, though, the floor in my room squeaked terribly, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open, and the nightstand drawer kept sliding open by itself. I’m worried the building is starting to deteriorate.

The lobby was chaotic and uncomfortable during our visit. Kids were playing hockey there while people tried to relax and check in, running around and hitting crushed water bottles. It felt unsafe and was really disruptive. I was surprised staff let it continue, and when I raised the issue at the front desk, they just said, “kids will be kids.” Guests deserve a comfortable, relaxing environment, and we didn’t get that. The room was clean enough, but the curtains, shower curtain, and towels had stains. The bedding wasn’t comfortable either. There was no proper comforter, just three sheets layered together. The hotel itself felt pretty mediocre. It might do if you just need an affordable place for a night or two, but don’t expect much comfort or atmosphere.

I stayed for two weeks, and they barely did the minimum. They didn’t restock anything, not even cups, and they didn’t vacuum. I’m almost sure they never changed my sheets. The cleaners were the worst. Breakfast was greasy and cold. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. It’s a sin that they take advantage of companies paying good money for their employees.

The room was big and clean, but the sink had trouble draining and the water pressure was pretty low. Rooms only get cleaned every 4 days unless you ask otherwise, and they don’t clean the floors when they do. I’ve been here a week and the floor in my room is still dirty. The free breakfast is okay and fills the void, though there isn’t much offered.
