For-Rest Inn and Spa

The hotel is very clean and has a rustic chalet feel, but our room was cramped. The bed and pillows were hard, and we ran out of hot water in the shower. The walls are thin enough that you hear everything. The pool and hot tub close at 8.

We stayed in chalet #4, and while the chalets cost a bit more, it felt worth every penny. The place has a rare kind of charm, a welcome change from the usual cookie-cutter hotels. Breakfast is continental, with scrambled eggs made from real fresh eggs. The service is friendly, the restaurant food is top notch, and the room was a wow. Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time at the Auberge with three friends. The owners were very nice and around whenever we needed anything, and every employee we met was polite and did a great job. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and all our Spa treatments were perfect. We really enjoyed the stay and will be back soon.

The location is nice, but this place needs new owners ASAP. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Check-in was fine, but when I asked for a receipt at checkout, the owner insisted she had already given it to me and kept arguing, even after I said I didn’t have it. I only wanted a copy, and she seemed unhappy to be up. There was no one at the front desk in the morning. I left at 6:45 AM and had to walk through ankle-deep slushy ice and snow because snow removal hadn’t been done. The room was clean but tiny, with no chair, just the bed to sit on. There was only one TV remote, though they brought another later. The pool, hot tub, and breakfast were unavailable because of COVID, which wasn’t their fault, but many places offered a breakfast to go. Also, cancellations must be made 48 hours before the stay or you’ll be charged for the room. Stay away.
