White Crystal Inn

The hot tub sits right in the bar’s window, which is a bit odd. Still, we had a great stay. It’s in a great location with ultimate ski-in, ski-out access. The rooms are basic, clean, and have cooking facilities. Check-in is in the building next door, so there’s no onsite staff or support if you need anything.

At around $253 for one night, even with 15% off, this felt far too expensive. The room was spacious, but the kettle looked dirty inside, and the bathroom smelled bad after I flushed the toilet. There was no front desk, so I had to drive five minutes to Reservation central to check in. Arriving at about 7pm, I found the building empty and dimly lit, which felt like walking into a scary house. It also looks about 80 years old. I’d book somewhere else.

The rooms weren’t clean, the buildings are old and run down, and the elevators don’t work, so be ready to carry your things up three flights of stairs. My family was charged for damage we didn’t cause, too. I’d used centrel reservstions exclusively for two years, but that bogus damage charge ended it for us. From now on, Airbnb only. Never stay here or use central reservations at big white. What an absolute disgrace.

Getting back to the suite is easy with the ski-in, ski-out entry, so I don’t have to carry my gear a long way. There’s also a locker room and a free lock for securing equipment. Most suites have a kitchenette, which is handy for quick meals, and ours was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoy staying here.
