We stopped because we were hungry on Hwy 1, and it beat heading into Regina or Moose Jaw. The atmosphere was great, the staff were absolutely lovely, and the food matched. There’s a pool table too if you want to stretch your legs.

A really handy stop when you’re passing through Saskatchewan. You can order as you leave Regina or Moose Jaw, get gas, run next door to pick up your food, then keep going, or stay and eat. The bar shares a parking lot with the gas station. I highly recommend any pizza! In summer, the patio is a really nice place to spend an afternoon.

I’d driven past plenty of times, then finally stopped on a road trip when I got hungry. The menu has such a wide range of food I like that I had trouble choosing. I went with a Denver, and it was mouthwatering. Great food and great service. I’ll be back to try more favorites. Definitely worth stopping in!

On the way to a Rider game, this is a perfect place between Moose Jaw and Pense to pull over for a pre-game pint. Head up to the rooftop patio for “The Best View in Saskatchewan,” and snap a photo with the sign. Rooftop selfies at Chubby’s are what make a local legend.

Lower your expectations before you go. A little more. No, lower still. There, that’s better. One star might even be too generous. I kept wondering when the place last got a deep clean. Bring your own cutlery. The best part of our visit was leaving.
