There was so much to do, from kayaking and fishing to swimming, horseshoes, hammocks and community campfires. We ran out of time before trying everything. The campground is right on the lake and really beautiful. Staff helped us find a good site, brought us fishing gear, and even offered to set up a doghouse for us.
We had such a fun time at Ben’s lake and will definitely come back with the family. It was my first summer there, so I didn’t expect the mosquitoes to be that bad, especially since I was wearing shorts, lol.
A great spot to unwind, with something for people of every age. Definitely recommend it.
The owners were so welcoming and helpful, and the campground is beautiful, tucked into the forest above the lake. We rented kayaks and went out the next morning. Charlottetown is only about half an hour away. We stayed one night at Ben's Lake and Campground, early in the season, and the owners went out of their way to get a site ready for us. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Would recommend.
Our boat was sinking, and the management seemed poor. The camping location is great, but I wish someone would keep the place and its equipment properly maintained.
