Hotel Le Mirage Blainville

The room was the worst part: stained carpet, a nasty musty odor, mold in the corners, and a bathroom so filthy I couldn't use it. The sheets looked stained and not fresh, and the bed was rock hard, so I slept in my clothes. Wi-Fi and air conditioning didn't work, and strange noises through the night made the place feel unsafe, like nobody was in charge. There was almost no sign of life at the hotel. The dark, dirty lobby had no one at the desk, and I waited nearly an hour before one employee appeared and seemed not to care. The building looked neglected, with cracked walls, peeling paint, and broken windows. It felt abandoned, with no services or proper maintenance. I regretted booking as soon as I arrived. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I don't know how it's still operating. Save yourself the nightmare and stay away. Disgusting, creepy, and a total waste of money. Zero stars.

The room wasn't dirty and the service wasn't unpleasant. The person I spoke to at checkout was really nice, too. Still, the place is so outdated and abandoned-looking that it has a seriously creepy feel. I can't believe we booked without checking reviews first.

I stayed three nights for work, and they cleaned my room each night. When my key gave me trouble, the staff sorted it out right away. They were helpful, courteous, and great throughout. I'm English, and once they heard me speaking English, they spoke English with me and were always smiling. I'd stay again.

The location worked well for where we were going, though the area felt sketchy. The bar and restaurant were closed, and there was no mention of that on the website. The vending machines were all empty, and we had a variety of problems in our rooms, which were very outdated. When we arrived, the place looked abandoned and our group seemed to be the only guests, which made us uneasy. The front sliding doors were locked; the desk clerk tried to open them but had to force them by hand. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures. It was a horrible stay, especially odd since I usually like Days Inn hotels.
