We were very happy with our stay and enjoyed looking around the whole farm. We booked an upstairs room at The Eddie farm, but they moved us to the freestanding cottage suite on the floor at no charge because we had a dog and they wanted us to be more comfortable. Breakfast had a huge range of tasty choices, including eggs benedicts, a full breakfast, tartine, and waffles. I’d recommend it to anyone after a cozy, pleasant stay at a lovely local farm.

The staff were helpful and accommodating, and breakfast was great. We had a cozy room with a comfortable bed in The Eddie's, a beautiful historic house furnished with a nice touch. We had a lovely long weekend and will be back.

We had comfortable rooms for our two nights, with very comfortable, clean beds and a nice choice of pillows. There was plenty of room for bags and places to sit, and anything else we needed was available by asking the owners. Mid-October was mild enough that we didn’t need heating or cooling. Prices fit the PEC area. The Eddie is best appreciated for its countryside character and history, not as a spa resort. It’s a warm, homegrown place for couples looking to decompress, with an eclectic country feel and charming hosts, Alex and Michael. The old Ontario house has large shared rooms, a sitting area, and a main-floor bathroom. The rooms are upstairs, so you do need to climb. I saw no accessible entrances, but the short steps at the front were clear and manageable for us. There’s lots of parking, and although it’s on the main road between Wellington and Bloomfield, we weren’t bothered by traffic. The free-roaming chickens weren’t a bother either. The Red Barn behind the main house is a spectacular showpiece and part of the business. We weren’t there for an event, just our anniversary, but it looks like a lovely setting for an engagement or wedding party, with plenty of space and services. It’s also not too far for people along the East-West 401 corridor. Breakfast was a treat. We could choose the Full breakfast from a short à la carte menu, usually at extra cost, or the free Continental option. There was espresso every morning, doubles in fact, plus local jams and honey, fresh juices, fresh eggs, and croissants from a local bakery. The breakfast room has a huge communal table where guests face each other instead of sitting alone. Put down the phones and chat! Alex or Michael were around for breakfast needs, or just a chat. It felt like home, relaxed and unrushed. We enjoyed the visit and it matched what we expected.

Our guests loved having space to explore the property, and we were thrilled with the setup, especially our ceremony on the games lawn beside the barn. The weather was perfect, though even beforehand we felt good knowing the rain plan in the sheep shed would have been just as romantic and beautiful. The next-day brunch was FANTASTIC, and we’re so glad we chose it. Friends and family could book the main house and cabins, and they loved staying there. Having Ruby, the sweetest dog, around was a real treat. We got married at The Eddie in September last year and couldn’t have been happier. Alex, Mike, and Sandra were professional, easygoing, accommodating, and fun to work with. They coordinated well with our other vendors to help the weekend run smoothly. Choosing the venue was our first big wedding decision, and we’d actually visited before we were engaged. The team worked hard to make the weekend wonderful. I can’t say enough good things and recommend it to everyone.

The free breakfast was amazing, and the owners were the best. The farm is huge, with so many good spots for photos. My dog was made to feel very welcome, and we could play, relax, and enjoy the sun. It was such a relaxing weekend away from the city, one of our best getaways. The atmosphere felt different in the best way. The location is great for exploring the area, including the beach and wineries. So good!
