The room was dirty, with stains on the floor and bedding, dust everywhere, and what looked like food or animal poop on the drawer handles. Check-in was ordinary, but on arrival it felt like the room hadn't been cleaned at all. The carpeted floor had marks and stains, especially in corners and under the bed, where I also found a cup. Since it's a pet friendly hotel, those marks could have been there for a while. Maybe they vacuum the main paths between guests, but they missed the edges. The bathroom sink clearly hadn't had a deep clean either. It had stains like you'd see in a toilet, and dirt crusted around the edges and drain. The shower itself was good, but cleaning was still an issue. I don't like wall mounted shampoo bottles because you don't know what a previous guest might have done, and even the conditioner bottle had a dried drip on it. They charged $50 for the dog and promised a bed, snacks, and a bow, but none of those were provided and the charge still stands. I also don't know what the Resort Fee is for when you still have to pay for resort tickets.

The shuttle stop is right across the street, which makes getting to the village easy, though it’s only about a 15-minute walk anyway. The Inn covered our basic needs with decent services, but it’s not fancy. We liked the indoor pool, though there were no lifeguards, and the outdoor jacuzzi pool was nice even though only one of the four was working. The brunch at Pottery was okay, but pricey for what was offered.

The restaurants here are really good, and the shuttle is a big help. We also like the amenities, especially the pool, which is why we choose this property with young kids. But over March Break the pool was heated for just one day, which was unusual. It was too cold to use for the other four days of our five-day stay, and our daughter was very disappointed. The rooms could use some attention too. I lost a bracelet at the pool, and getting it back took three different people. On the first day, one person abruptly said no when I asked whether it had been handed in and wouldn’t discuss it. The next day, someone else said they had no lost and found and gave me a link to file an online report. I was thoroughly disappointed and found it odd that there supposedly wasn’t a lost and found. On day three, I asked Sukh about it. He asked what it looked like, then told me it had been returned two nights earlier and that he had put it in the lost and found right behind him. He had also filed the report and bagged it, and went to get it for me. I was happy and relieved, but also realized two employees had lied to me. There absolutely is a lost and found. I guess it takes an honest, willing person to take the ten steps and check. I completed the online report too, and I’m still getting messages that the search hasn’t succeeded yet, but they’re working hard to find my item. What a joke. Thank you, Sukh. You showed me good people still exist, though at Blue Mountain Inn it seems to be one out of three.

Jane and the Pottery restaurant staff were another highlight. The food was amazing and the portions were large, so we went back a couple of times. Meeting Bruce, the concierge, made the trip even more memorable. He was so welcoming, informative, and gracious. We had an absolutely amazing time at Blue Mountain. Thanks!

You can head straight from the room to the hill, which is hard to beat, and parking is great. The staff were nice too. Just know you’ll hear everything from the surrounding units. The hotel restaurant has good food, but it’s not a quick meal. I’ve been twice, and the wait is something.
