Riotel Bonaventure

The bay view was good, and the front desk service was good too. The room was quaint, clean, and kind of small, with hardly any amenities. There's no elevator, and you can still hear people through the walls. It felt pricey for what you get. With the restaurant on the main floor, food smells reached the hallway and our room.

The restaurant was fantastic, both the food and the service. We also had a lovely, spacious, well-decorated room and a fantastic balcony view. The only downside was people smoking outside next to us, with the smoke blowing our way. At reception, the friendliest person went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We'd definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful location, but it was very, very overpriced. Our city-view room had two queen beds, yet there wasn't enough space for four people. The bathroom was tiny and old, and the place needs a lot of updates. I was very disappointed. It wasn't worth the cost.

The restaurant was excellent, and the service there was great. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and the location right on the water was perfect, with beautiful sunsets and everything in town close by. We had a city-view room with one queen bed, though, and it was horrible. The AC blew out humid, musty air, the old carpet was dirty throughout, and the shower sprayed straight onto the floor, which stayed wet. Our friends had a city-side room with two beds that was perfect and updated, without carpet, so I assume some rooms need work. The hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. There are no elevators, and the carpeted hallways aren't soundproof, so we heard people walking and talking while we were trying to sleep. Don't expect a super fancy hotel, but apart from those issues, we had a great stay.
