Really nice atmosphere, and the service was excellent. We had a lovely supper, and the food was delicious.

The pesto scallops didn’t taste good to me. It was my first time trying them, and I won’t order them again. The seafood chowder tasted good, but the portion was tiny for the price, and the beer was really expensive for a small town. I also couldn’t believe the waitress spoke only English in Bouctouche, where I expected bilingual service. Sorry, but I won’t be back. It costs too much for what you get.

We’ve been traveling the East Coast for a week and a half, and this was one of my favorite meals so far. The fish and chips were the best I’ve had on the trip. Our server was lovely, really friendly and funny, and handled the floor on her own. She also moved us to a separate room and rearranged tables to make space, which we really appreciated. I’m making a note to come back someday, even though I wish the place were closer to home.

Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was amazing. The family-run Inn was welcoming, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our one-night stay. It felt like a lovely seaside escape, and the hosts easily handled our gluten-free and lactose-free needs. I’ve heard great things about the GF fish and chips, so I wish I’d been able to stay for dinner. There was a $25 fee for our dog, which was fine, and he loved the view too, woof! I appreciated having EV charging available, though it’s Level 1 only, not Level 2, so bring your cord. We first got 1.3 kWh, but that didn’t work, so we used an extension cord and got less than 1 kWh. It costs $10 for the night. For peace of mind, that was worth it, since it let us reach either Shediac or Miramichi for faster charging. We didn’t get a chance to say thanks and goodbye. Hope to return someday!

Our table had been given away, even though the restaurant had only four other tables occupied when we arrived. The dining room was too bright for an evening meal and had little charm. The wobbly wooden chairs and odd décor gave it some old farmhouse feel, but the dune and bay view was barely noticeable. Ambiance: 3/10. There was no wine list. We wanted white wine and had only two choices. The price was fair, but we had to ask for an ice bucket. Two servers were working. They were pleasant enough, but seemed nervous, unsure of the menu, and poorly trained. Staffing may be difficult for many places during the COVID reopening, but service gets 2/10. Of the four meals, the ribs had good flavor but weren’t tender, and came with plain, unseasoned rice. The seafood platter was bland, though there was plenty of seafood and the mussels were presented nicely around the plate. There was no lobster because it was “too expensive.” The blackened salmon was overcooked and we didn’t enjoy it. Food: 5/10. This was a poor non-buffet restaurant visit for two couples. Maybe they put their energy into the Sunday breakfast buffet. We might try it sometime, or maybe not.
