Prestige Golden Hotel

The staff were good, most of them friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. Still, at $250.00/Night, I thought the price was high for what was offered. There was no continental breakfast, and the attached restaurant was closed, leaving no breakfast options. The hotel itself is nice, and the rooms have recently been renovated. As with a lot of upgraded rooms, they used nice materials but seemed to skimp on labor. The tile cuts were rough, and the installation and finish were poor. Our room had a fridge, coffee and a coffee maker, a king-size bed, a walk-in shower, and a full soaking tub. There's a small pool and hot tub, but we were disappointed to see several women bathing in them fully clothed and wearing Hijabs, so we didn't use those facilities. I would have liked the staff to ask them to dress appropriately for swimming. Those things explain my four stars and why the price felt steep.

The location, just off the highway, was really convenient, and our room was spotless, roomy, and comfortable. Jordan made check-in quick and easy, answered all our questions, and suggested a restaurant we really enjoyed. The lobby had all the essentials. We had a great stay, and I highly recommend the place.

We stopped here halfway through a drive from Alberta to Okanagan. The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, too. It's not ideally located for walking to downtown Golden, though it's still doable. The fitness centre is small but has a good supply of dumbbells.

Happy at the front desk made our one-night stay in Golden feel memorable and pleasant. She helped us book at the last minute and made check-in easy, then shared her knowledge of the area and some great sightseeing ideas for the next day. We had a five-star experience. I hope management recognizes her excellent customer service. Thanks again, Happy!
